Meet Dr. Peiravani

Dr. Peiravani started her academic journey at the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she pursued her undergraduate studies in Biomedical Engineering. She then went from west coast to east coast, receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York Medical College at Touro College of Dental Medicine while graduating summa cum laude as the top student in her class. Her academic prowess and commitment to excellence at Touro led to her selection as a distinguished member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. She then completed her pediatric dental residency at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New York, where she learned valuable behavior management skills and gained invaluable experience treating children with special healthcare needs. While at Cohen Children’s, Dr. Peiravani was a part of the Craniofacial Team, where she treated patients with cleft lip and palate as well as other complex dental needs. Having trained in an orthodontic-heavy residency, she is well-versed in early orthodontic treatment (phase 1).

As a board-certified pediatric dentist, Dr. Peiravani provides an enjoyable, personal, and informative experience for each of her patients to ensure they get the most out of each visit. She recognizes the importance of preventative care and the lasting positive impact she can have on her patient’s overall health. She prides herself on getting to the root of the problem (pun intended) and not just treating symptoms. These passions naturally drove her to exploring the world of airway dentistry. She has obtained extensive training in diagnosing and treating abnormal airway development in children from leaders in the field. She has also attended multiple courses on pediatric airway development and tongue tie treatments taught by leading experts in airway development and tongue tie treatments.

In her free time, you can find Dr. Peiravani at the movie theater (she is a big Christopher Nolan fan), exploring Houston’s incredible restaurant scene, or relaxing on the beach with her husband Dr. Jason Meschin, a pediatric cardiologist!

“Bright Buds is more than just a dental office where people come out of necessity. It’s a safe space full of fun and wonder for kiddos of all ages where they receive the highest quality of care. From our play area to the prize closet, our office was built to help children make positive associations with dental visits and feel excited about their dental health for years to come.”

Benefits of Seeing a Board
Certified Pediatric Dentist

A major benefit of taking your child to see a board certified pediatric dentist is that they are specially trained to work with children. Pediatric dentists undergo additional residency training after dental school where they learn the unique needs of young patients from behavior management techniques to the challenges of dealing with baby teeth. At Bright Buds Pediatric Dentistry, your child will receive compassionate and high-quality dental care from Dr. Giselle Peiravani, a board-certified pediatric dentist with a focus in airway dentistry.

This means that she is not just an expert in treating children’s teeth, but she is also able to evaluate your child’s airway and jaw to ensure proper development. Dr. Peiravani’s combination of skills allows for a multifaceted, holistic approach to your child’s health, all in a fun and positive environment!
