Restorative Care
Restorative dentistry describes the process of repairing your child’s teeth after issues such as cavities or injuries develop. At Bright Buds, we take a comprehensive, kid-friendly approach to restoring your child’s smile.
From minimallyinvasive techniques such as remineralizing agents all the way to tooth-colored fillings and quick and gentle extractions, we offer the quality care your child needs in a positive environment.
Benefits of Restorative Care
Relieves pain, restores the function of teeth, prevents infection or further tooth damage
Restorative services
Composite (Tooth-Colored) Fillings
These fillings blend with your child’s surrounding teeth, restoring both function and appearance. They protect the tooth from further damage and give your child confidence in their smile!
Stainless Steel Crowns
Stainless steel crowns offer strong and reliable protection for significantly damaged or decayed baby teeth. By covering the entire tooth, they help keep the tooth intact until the permanent tooth is ready to erupt.
White Zirconia Crowns
An alternative to stainless steel crowns that blends with your child’s natural teeth.
Pulpotomies (AKA Baby Root Canals)
If tooth decay reaches the inner nerve of the tooth, a pulpotomy may be necessary. During a pulpotomy, the infected pulp tissue is removed and the tooth is restored to alleviate pain and prevent the need for tooth extraction.
Extractions
Although the goal is always to save your child’s natural teeth, an extraction may be the best choice for your child’s in cases of severe tooth decay, damage, or infection. Dr. Peiravani’s extractions are both gentle and quick, with priority on your child’s comfort.
Space Maintenance
Involves devices used to hold space open until the permanent tooth is ready to come in. This technique promotes proper alignment which can help prevent future orthodontic issues.
Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF)
Silver diamine fluoride is a powerful remineralization treatment option which can stop tooth decay without the need for more invasive procedures such as numbing, or drilling. This technique can be particularly beneficial for young children and those with special healthcare needs.
